Gerdel'. described as “a Gypsy Romance to the melody of ‘Hommage-Valse’ by Hermann” in an edition of compiled sheet music said to be published "shortly after March 7, 1884" by an A. Büttner, and republished in 1897 as "Favorite Songs of Moscow Gypsies" by an A. Gutheil. — source
