In Autumnal Fog (Free download series by Skeksis Netlabel Project)

In Autumnal Fog was a series of Various Artists compilations created in June of 2009 by Skeksis Netlabel Project founder Joe Skeksis, in association with Bieberpelz and Iskharian. The series was named after the very first Skeksis Netlabel Project Various Artists compilation, titled "10 Songs For Free Download - Vol. 1: In Autumnal Fog", which was released in October of 2008. This original release featured black metal bands. But soon after, Skeksis Netlabel Project's "10 Songs For Free Download" series shifted towards more ambient, dark ambient and post-rock artists. In order to promote black metal bands again, Joe Skeksis started a new series titled "In Autumnal Fog".

It took five months to compile all of the bands, many of which had appeared on other "10 Songs For Free Download" series releases. The first three chapters were released simultaneously for free download in November of 2009 and was heavily promoted. A fourth chapter was released much later in February of 2011 and wound up being not only the final chapter in the "In Autumnal Fog" series but also the last Skeksis Netlabel Project release.
