Great Deep is the sophomore EP from American singer-songwriter Marian Renta released on July 5, 2021. The EP spawned the single, "May (Alternate Mix)", released on July 27, 2021. It explores themes of unrequited romance, longing, and nostalgia. Renta toils with these themes through storytelling and a reminiscent style of songwriting. Great Deep consists of four songs, all of which were written and produced by Renta herself, in various tempos and styles. Most of the songs are composed in a minor key, and feature Renta on piano throughout. Great Deep is a genre-varied collection with Pop, Rock, and R&B elements. Renta's vocals are performed in a mezzo-soprano tessitura, and her vocals are performed through the use of melisma in the chest and head voice ranges.
