The Encyclopedia of Jazz, Part 3/5: Big Bands - The Giants of the Swing Big Band Era

Quality: The longer I work with this box, the more the unevenness of the source material becomes apparent. There are three sources: 1. the back of the CD sleeves (tracks, artists, writers, track lengths), 2. the printed book included in the box (full details, except for track lengths), and 3. the Excel sheet included on a CD-ROM. In some cases, these give different information: in some rare cases, each gives different information. I've mainly gone with the CD sleeve notes for now, for simplicity. -- athulin
